Similar to a personal reading assistant, Reading Machine aids users in deciphering new words based on their letter and sound combinations. Developed by a parent, cognitive scientist, and literacy scholar, Reading Machine's comprehensive dictionary leverages a human voice database to aid in pronunciation for over 5,000 words. Additionally, the app features a text-to-speech engine for enunciating all other words. As users progress from basic to more intricate words, the dictionary offers personalized decoding support, spanning from individual phonemes and letters to multi-letter sounds, syllables, prefixes, suffixes, root words, and compound words.
